Preventive examination and Check up

Preventive examination for children and adolescents

Infants: U2, U3, U4, U5, U6

5 examinations take place in the first year of life, when the growth and development of the infant is regularly monitored by the doctor. Important themes such as nursing, mixed feeding and vaccinations are discussed with the parents. Often, problems such as abdominal pain, distension, eczema or sleep disturbances would be dealt with.

Kindergarten age: U7, U7a, U8, U9

During these examinations between the ages of 2 and 5, the development of the child will be assessed in different aspects: his or her physical strength and ability, fine hand movements and agility, speech and social behaviour. In case of any developmental delay or disturbance, supportive measures such as physiotherapy, speech and occupational therapy could be introduced. The first signs of hyperactivity of children with ADS  could often be detected already.

School age: U10, U11

Regarding school children between 7 and 10 the main concerns here are growth and their school performance. Associated with these is the early detection of obesity, unhealthy eating habits, attention deficit and concentration problems.

Adolescents: J1, J2

In adolescence  (12 to 16) the development of puberty is to be assessed. Blood tests are aimed at the early detection of metabolic problems such as thyroid function disorders and elevated cholesterol levels. A family disposition to e.g. gastritis, urinary tract infections or menstrual disturbances of young girls could already be recognized at teen age.

Adults: Check-Up

The doctor could discover weak points of the body at different ages which might lead to chronic illness later. It is thus important that, through an exact history and examination, problems are detected and solved early enough, to contribute to a long life with quality. The government offers a routine check-up from the age of 35 onwards which includes a physical examination and basic lab tests. In addition, we could do blood analysis of vitality and stress parameters, to see how the body is coping with age and stress. Depending on the diagnosis, early preventive measures using natural medicine could be introduced.
